Kala Wahl is the Founder / CEO of Bureau in Los Angeles, California.

Kala is known for her passion for refined interior design and architecture, her walks with nature, and her ability to connect with others through solid listening skills and candor.

 

She founded Bureau in 2021 as the culmination of her passions for design, strategy, and meeting new people. In addition to her interior design degree from Indiana University, Kala designed under a major global architecture firm in San Francisco and Los Angeles. She has designed and managed small projects independently and contractually throughout California.

For over a half-decade, Kala is recognized within the AD100 design industry as a top talent expert for fellow interior designers and architects. As a peer and advocate, her proudest accomplishments are matching the right people with the right opportunities, primarily in San Francisco and Los Angeles to New York City.

 

Kala’s favorite part of being a design talent consultant is the people and the projects; a big believer that everyone and every space has a story to tell. She loves translating these stories into career achievements for others. Kala has a great deal of respect for her clients and their work. She always aims to meet the moment with sincerity and deliver the best possible results so everyone can confidently reach their goals.

 

When she’s not at Bureau, Kala is enjoying her husband's cooking, trying new restaurants, practicing Pilates reformer, playing with floral arrangements, traveling, and spending time with family.
